Kuwait City — October 21, 2025: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance has reiterated its commitment to expanding digital transformation across government entities to enhance operational efficiency and service quality, according to Undersecretary Aseel Al-Munifi.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Microsoft Artificial Intelligence Summit, Al-Munifi announced that the ministry had received the Excellence Award for its AI-powered “Tarasul Plus” correspondence system, one of the winners at the Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards.
She noted that Tarasul Plus, launched in June 2025, represents a significant upgrade to the government’s correspondence framework, enabling seamless communication within the ministry and with other state entities. The platform integrates Microsoft Copilot AI features to assist employees in drafting and organizing memos, marking a major step toward Kuwait’s AI-driven public sector modernization.
“This system reflects the Ministry of Finance’s dedication to applying advanced AI technologies that enhance productivity, transparency, and collaboration across government departments,” Al-Munifi said, emphasizing the ministry’s long-term digital strategy.

Other government institutions were also honored during the summit for their achievements in artificial intelligence adoption and cloud modernization:
- The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) won for deploying Secure Azure Landing Zones 44, establishing cloud environments for 44 government entities — a cornerstone of Kuwait’s unified digital infrastructure.
- The Ministry of Health received recognition for its “Salem” health app, offering citizens secure access to medical records, lab results, and appointments.

- The Public Authority for Sport was commended for its “Hayakom” app, instrumental in the success of the Gulf Cup.
- The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development was honored for effective Copilot AI integration across its internal systems.
Private-sector entities, including Kuwait Finance House and the National Bank of Kuwait, were also recognized for their AI innovation efforts.
Najat Ibrahim, Director General of CAIT, noted that the government cloud transformation ensures data security, interoperability, and a foundation for expanding AI across ministries. “It strengthens Kuwait’s readiness for data-driven decision-making and accelerates the nation’s digital government vision,” she said.
The summit concluded with Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Al-Omar presenting the awards, commending public and private organizations for driving Kuwait’s AI innovation forward in alignment with the country’s digital economy goals.
