ZTE and e& Sign Two MoUs at GITEX Global 2025 to Accelerate 5G Private Network Innovation and Green Energy Transformation

Dubai, UAE — October 21, 2025:
ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of integrated ICT solutions, and e& have signed two strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during GITEX Global 2025, aimed at advancing 5G private network innovation and green energy transformation across the UAE and wider MENA region.

The agreements reinforce the two companies’ shared commitment to driving sustainable, AI-powered digital transformation and supporting the UAE’s long-term vision for a smart, connected, and carbon-neutral future.

MoU 1: Advancing 5G Private Networks for Smart Cities and Enterprises

The first MoU focuses on 5G private network development for smart cities, industrial automation, and AI-driven applications. ZTE and e& UAE will collaborate on customized 5G private network solutions across key sectors, including oil and gas, utilities, logistics, and manufacturing.

The partnership will also support the creation of dedicated private network environments to test and commercialize advanced drone use cases for communication, navigation, and AI-based sensing. Both parties will co-develop 6G integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) frameworks to support environmental monitoring, maritime operations, and infrastructure tracking.

In addition, the MoU outlines plans to enhance live video broadcasting capabilities to strengthen smart city infrastructure — underscoring ZTE and e&’s joint vision for a sustainable, intelligent, and interconnected UAE.

MoU 2: Accelerating Green Energy and Sustainable Network Transformation

The second MoU deepens collaboration in telecom energy efficiency and renewable energy innovation to help e& meet its carbon neutrality and green network goals.

The initiative includes joint research and deployment of smart photovoltaic systems, intelligent power distribution, and AI-powered energy management platforms. ZTE will also introduce its high-efficiency power modules and intelligent rectifier systems to optimize energy use and operational costs across e&’s network.

The companies will co-develop solar and energy storage solutions, integrating AI and big data analytics to enable predictive energy management, sustainability reporting, and optimized power utilization. This collaboration aims to position e& as a regional leader in green telecom transformation while supporting national sustainability targets.

Zhang Meng, Vice President of ZTE and Managing Director for e& Global, commented:
“By combining 5G-Advanced, AI, and green innovation, we are creating solutions that drive efficiency, enable smarter operations, and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes. Our collaboration with e& marks a pivotal step toward a greener, intelligent, and connected future in the UAE and beyond.”
