Manama, Oct. 22 (BNA): Bahrain’s Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, met with Maria Cohn, TikTok Global’s Deputy Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for the METAPSA region, and Jenan Al Hashli, Head of Public Policy for the GCC countries, to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation in the digital content sector.
Dr. Al Noaimi affirmed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with global social media platforms such as TikTok to accelerate the growth of Bahrain’s digital media ecosystem. He emphasized ongoing efforts to empower local talent, enhance their skills, and promote international best practices in creating meaningful and creative content.
He highlighted that such collaborations contribute to cultivating a dynamic and innovative environment that showcases Bahraini youth’s potential to compete on both regional and global stages. These initiatives, he noted, align with Bahrain’s national vision to position the Kingdom as a regional hub for digital and creative industries.
Representatives from TikTok expressed the platform’s keen interest in supporting the Ministry’s goals through training programs, knowledge exchange initiatives, and digital skills development. The collaboration aims to nurture a new generation of Bahraini content creators and elevate the Kingdom’s digital presence across regional and international markets.
