Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have signed a landmark cybersecurity cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing regional digital resilience and safeguarding critical infrastructure from emerging cyber threats.
The agreement, signed on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, brings together Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) in a framework designed to strengthen collaboration in cybersecurity operations, intelligence sharing, and incident response.
Under the agreement, both countries will develop joint mechanisms for risk management and establish protocols for coordinated responses to potential cyberattacks targeting vital digital infrastructure.
This partnership supports Egypt’s National Cybersecurity Strategy (2023–2027), which emphasizes deepening regional and international cooperation to counter sophisticated cyber threats and promote a secure digital ecosystem.
The initiative also underscores the shared commitment of Egypt and the UAE to bolster regional cyber defense capabilities, exchange expertise and best practices, and build a sustainable cybersecurity environment that supports digital transformation and economic stability across the Arab world.
