Squadio Raises $3 Million to Scale AI-Powered Global Tech Hiring from Saudi Arabia

RIYADH – October 27, 2025: Saudi Arabia-based HRtech startup Squadio has raised $3 million (SAR 11 million) in a pre-Series A funding round to expand its AI-driven remote hiring platform across MENA, Africa, and Silicon Valley.

The round saw participation from Wa’ed Ventures, 500 Sanabil MENA, Nour Nouf Ventures, SEEDRA Ventures, and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) — signaling strong investor confidence in Saudi Arabia’s growing HRtech ecosystem.

Founded in 2019 by Khaled Senawy, Squadio helps companies build remote-first engineering, design, and product teams by connecting them with vetted global tech professionals. The platform currently hosts a community of 55,000+ developers and digital specialists across 80 countries, and has served over 450 companies, including STC, Elm, Thiqah, Monsha’at, and Nupco.

Squadio is on a mission to bridge the global tech talent gap from Saudi Arabia,” said Khaled Senawy, Founder and CEO. “This funding round validates our model and fuels our ability to scale faster while staying true to our vision—helping companies build world-class digital products, regardless of geography.”

The company plans to use the new capital to:

  • Strengthen its AI-powered talent matching algorithm.
  • Expand regional operations and enhance infrastructure.
  • Deepen strategic partnerships across key global markets.

Headquartered in Riyadh, with satellite offices in Dubai, Alexandria, and Silicon Valley, Squadio positions itself as a cross-border enabler of global-scale tech teams.

As AI and remote work reshape the global workforce, Squadio’s model aims to make geography irrelevant for innovation, showcasing how Saudi-born tech platforms can play a pivotal role in redefining global talent access.
