Talabat has reinforced its role in shaping Kuwait’s digital transformation by serving as Executive Sponsor of the second edition of the “Thought Leadership Circle: Reshaping the Digital Landscape” roundtable, hosted by the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and organised by The Business Year. The event aligns with Kuwait’s ambitions to become a regional hub for digital innovation and AI under Kuwait Vision 2035.
Held at the Chairman’s Club in KIPCO Tower and chaired by H.E. Omar Saud Al-Omar, Minister of State for Communication Affairs, the roundtable gathered leaders from the public and private sectors to explore deeper collaboration in building a future-ready digital economy. Representing Talabat Kuwait, Vice President and Managing Director Bader Al-Ghanim shared insights on the company’s evolution into one of the region’s most prominent tech success stories.
Al-Ghanim emphasised Talabat’s digital-first, people-centric model, highlighting how strategic partnerships, modern telecom infrastructure and advanced technologies converge to accelerate growth. He noted that cross-sector collaboration is critical for scaling innovation and ensuring that emerging technologies—particularly AI—are effectively integrated into Kuwait’s digital ecosystem.
Throughout the discussion, Al-Ghanim outlined four pillars central to Talabat’s sustainable growth across Kuwait and the wider MENA region: building an integrated regional digital hub; strengthening strategic collaborations; ensuring cybersecurity and resilience; and investing heavily in human capital. He stressed that “no matter how digitally driven a market becomes, it begins and ends with people,” underscoring the company’s commitment to nurturing local talent and developing future-ready digital capabilities.
Talabat showcased its use of advanced AI tools to translate data into actionable insights, improving customer experiences while guiding employee upskilling and talent development initiatives. Al-Ghanim also highlighted Talabat’s strong cybersecurity framework, noting the rising importance of cyber awareness across all stakeholders—from customers and merchants to financial partners and telecom operators.
The roundtable also recognised Kuwait’s progress in developing a collaborative digital ecosystem, supported by robust infrastructure and a culture of partnership-driven innovation. Talabat’s sponsorship of the series reflects its broader commitment to strengthening the country’s digital capabilities, including support for Academy X, Kuwait’s largest initiative empowering women in technology and entrepreneurship.
