Kuwait Mandates Digital Attendance and Leave Requests Through CSC Application

The Ministry of Information has announced a major shift toward digital governance, confirming that all employee leave requests must now be submitted exclusively through the Civil Service Commission (CSC) application. The Ministry stated that this directive—outlined in an official circular obtained by Alseyassah/Arab Times—will apply retroactively from January 2025, covering both previously submitted and new leave applications.

Employees have been instructed to register all leave requests through the approved electronic platform to ensure full compliance with the Ministry’s new policy, which aligns with the country’s broader digital transformation efforts.

In a parallel update, informed sources revealed that the Ministry has issued a second circular declaring a complete halt to all manual (handwritten) attendance-related transactions starting January 1. This includes regular and emergency leave requests, permissions of all types, and exemption applications.

Going forward, all attendance, departure, and leave management services will be processed solely through the CSC application. The move is intended to streamline workflow, enhance transparency, and accelerate the Ministry’s transition to a fully digital administrative system.
