Algeria’s High Commission for Digitalization and the Ministry of Youth have signed a cooperation agreement to regulate access to and use of the State’s sovereign cloud infrastructure, hosted at the National Algerian Data Center for Digital Services. The agreement was signed at the Ministry of Youth by Minister and High Commissioner for Digitalization Meriem Benmouloud and Minister of Youth Mustapha Hidaoui, in line with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives to accelerate digital transformation and modernise public services.
The partnership aims to organise the use of sovereign cloud resources, unify the State’s digital infrastructure, and strengthen the protection of sovereign data by providing a secure and reliable environment for hosting sector-specific digital platforms. It is expected to support improved governance, operational efficiency, and service delivery within the youth sector.
Benmouloud said the initiative reflects the State’s commitment to an integrated and sustainable digital transition that enhances public performance and service quality, particularly for young citizens. Hidaoui described the agreement as a major step toward modernising and digitising youth services while reinforcing digital governance across the sector.
The signing ceremony also included a technical presentation outlining the cloud solutions now available to support the digital needs of the youth sector
