AAAB and Aleph Sign MoU to Strengthen Bangladesh’s Digital Advertising Ecosystem

The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh (AAAB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aleph, the authorized commercial partner of global digital platforms including Google and TikTok in Bangladesh, to establish a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating digital growth across the advertising industry. The MoU was signed in Dhaka in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.

AAAB was represented by President Sanaul Arefeen, General Secretary Syed Ahsanul Apon, and Joint Secretary M A Maruf, while Aleph was represented by Ehsanul Hoque, Country Director for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and Ahsanur Rahman, Partner Director for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The collaboration brings together AAAB, the apex body representing advertising agencies in Bangladesh, and Aleph, with a shared objective of professionalizing and standardizing digital advertising practices. The partnership focuses on strengthening industry skills, ethical standards, leadership development, and data transparency, while aligning with national priorities around digital transformation, job creation, and export growth.

Under a structured framework titled Enablement, Enhance, Expand (3E), the partnership will introduce a range of initiatives. These include free global digital advertising certifications for junior professionals and fresh graduates from AAAB member agencies, joint workshops and training programmes hosted at Aleph’s Dhaka facility as a Preferred AAAB Learning Hub, and leadership masterclasses for agency owners and senior executives.

The MoU also covers the co-publication of a bi-annual “State of Digital Advertising in Bangladesh” report, the promotion of a Digital Advertising Code of Conduct addressing brand safety, transparency, and platform compliance, and opportunities for selected Bangladeshi campaigns to be featured in Aleph’s global case studies, subject to consent. Both organizations expressed confidence that the partnership will help build a more skilled, ethical, and globally connected digital advertising ecosystem in Bangladesh.
