Digital transformation projects enhance efficiency

IBRI: Al Dhahirah Governorate is experiencing a rapid acceleration in digital transformation, aimed at strengthening government performance, simplifying public services, and fostering innovation across multiple sectors.

The governorate has prioritised the development of its digital infrastructure through integrated digital strategies, the expansion of electronic services, and the empowerment of national talent in technology and innovation. These efforts are designed to modernise workflows, improve responsiveness, and raise overall institutional efficiency.

A key pillar of the initiative is the creation of a unified digital visual identity that reflects Al Dhahirah’s distinctive cultural and geographical character. The objective is to reinforce the governorate’s institutional presence and coherence across digital platforms, ensuring a modern and recognisable footprint in the evolving digital environment.

Salim bin Ali Al Mahrouqi, Director-General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at Al Dhahirah Governorate, said the current focus is on building a robust digital infrastructure that supports data-driven decision-making and enhances the effectiveness of municipal and administrative operations.

He noted that digital transformation is no longer optional but essential to improving service delivery and organisational agility. By embedding technology into daily operations, the governorate aims to streamline processes, strengthen coordination between departments, and elevate the quality of services provided to citizens.

These projects reflect Oman’s broader push toward digital governance, positioning Al Dhahirah as an active contributor to national modernisation efforts and a model for efficient, citizen-centric administration.
