Algiers – February 15, 2026: Algeria has officially launched a new digital platform dedicated to the registration of international contract-based students under the Study-In-Algeria program, marking a significant step in modernising access to higher education for foreign applicants.
The launch ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Bedari, at the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences in Ben Aknoun.
The event was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, along with international students from Tlemcen University and other national universities. Their presence underscored Algeria’s commitment to strengthening academic openness and enhancing the experience of foreign students studying in the country.
The newly introduced digital platform is designed to streamline and simplify the registration process for international contract-based students. By digitising applications and administrative procedures, the initiative aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility while reducing paperwork and processing time.
The Study-In-Algeria program forms part of Algeria’s broader strategy to internationalise its higher education sector, attract diverse student communities, and enhance academic cooperation with partner countries. The platform is expected to facilitate smoother coordination between universities and relevant government bodies, ensuring a more seamless admission journey for applicants.
With the rollout of this digital tool, Algeria reinforces its ambition to position itself as an increasingly attractive academic destination in the region, leveraging technology to modernise university services and strengthen its global educational engagement.
