PPDS and BrightSign® form strategic partnership bringing new choice with Philips Signage 6060 range designed for superior visual performance, security, and energy efficiencies

Coming together: Delivering an alternative to PPDS’ Android OS, the new Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign Built-In opens a wealth of new opportunities and experiences for businesses seeking a reliable, cost effective and sustainable solution, backed by superior performance and security.

Amsterdam, 17 June 2026: PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, and BrightSign®, a global leader in digital signage media players and operating system, have announced an exciting collaboration, amalgamating cutting edge solutions to deliver the Philips Signage 6060 – a new generation, AI ready and cost efficient total solutions display.

Announced and unveiled on Philips Booth C9000 and BrightSign booth C5301 during InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas, the innovative Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign Built-In opens a wealth of extended opportunities for businesses, becoming the first product within PPDS’ digital signage portfolio to harness the integrated benefits of BrightSignOS™.

This partnership was fuelled and inspired by demand from the market, with both existing and prospective customers seeking the universally recognised quality and reliability of Philips Professional Displays, together with the power and possibilities available through BrightSign’s extensive ecosystem.

Jack Boyczuk, Director of PD Sales at PPDS in North America, said: “The market has spoken and we have responded. With BrightSign Built-In, we have extended our reach beyond Android and opened our solutions to an even wider audience. Together, we can provide the visual needs, capabilities, and security required for today and tomorrow, allowing them to run their business successfully, safely, and sustainably – whatever market they are in.”

Vision with Philips, driven by BrightSign

Showcased at InfoComm and creating a brand new category within PPDS’ extended portfolio of total solutions, the Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign Built-In, launches in a choice of 43”, 55”, and 65” size variants to suit a wide range of markets and environments, with each model tailored to meet the needs and requirements of the customer.

Guaranteed to attract, engage, and captivate audiences, the Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign Built-In has been designed to be seen and to impress, boasting a striking 500 nit display for UHD 4K performance, with even the smallest details delivered with crystal clear perfection.

The Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign Built-In also features a new slimline design, measuring under 40mm deep, providing sleeker and tighter to the wall installations. Ideal for environments such as in retail (including on shelves), corporate, public venues, food and beverage, transportation, and more, where aesthetics and space (including on shelving) really matter.

Beauty inside and out

The phrase “beauty is only skin deep” famously coined by Sir Thomas Overbury in 1613, certainly does not apply when discussing the new Philips Signage 6060.

Internally, the Philips Signage 6060 sees one of the biggest evolutions of PPDS’ digital signage portfolio, debuting – and integrating – BrightSign’s highest performing and industry leading all in one XS156 player SoC.

Tailored perfectly to the needs of the Philips Signage 6060, the integrated XS156 player helps to deliver superior levels of control, security, and energy efficiencies for customers, whether for display fleets in single locations or installations around the world.

Running on the BrightSignOS – a specialised and trusted operating system powering BrightSign players – PPDS partners and customers will be able to access all BrightSign software services and supported CMS solutions, making it a flexible choice across a range of various digital signage needs.

This will include full access to BrightSign’s free remote device monitoring and management service, BrightSign Control. Used and trusted by businesses around the world, BrightSign Control has been developed to offer effortless management and faster set up of display fleets, while delivering the superior security, performance, and reliability synonymous with both BrightSign and Philips Professional Displays.

Fresh ecosystem for total solutions

With access to the BrightSign ecosystem, AV/IT teams will be able to create and deploy content, monitor media player health, and seamlessly download the latest security and software services* to their display network. This allows teams to be confident that their network and content are safe and secure, while also helping to extend product lifetimes.

Aligned with PPDS’ commitment to sustainability, BrightSign Control also enables optimised energy usage, such as reducing brightness and powering down displays when not visible or being used (such as out of business hours), for more sustainable business practices and reduced cost of ownership.

With the BrightSign XS156 integrated directly into the displays, the need for an external media player is also eliminated, reducing power consumption further, while alleviating the risk of theft or tampering, and ensuring cleaner wire free installations. And that’s not all.

High performance and AI ready processing power

As with the recently unveiled Philips Signage 5000 and 2000 Series displays – launched during ISE 2026 – the Philips Signage 6060 has been designed with today and the future in mind, with the capabilities to support businesses looking to seize the opportunities around artificial intelligence.

With BrightSign Built-In, the Philips Signage 6060 takes advantage of the integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) on the XS156 to run AI applications directly on the display, enabling faster and smoother processing. This ensures seamless user experiences without slowing down or impacting other processors and operations – such as the Central Processing Unit and Graphics Processing Unit.

Bruce Wyrwitzke, Senior Director for North America at PPDS, added: “The new Philips Signage 6060 is a further demonstration of our commitment to support our partners and customers at every turn and for every need, no matter how complex or unique they might be. We’re delighted to have partnered with BrightSign to deliver this incredible new addition to our Philips Signage range.”

The Philips Signage 6060 with BrightSign will be available in North America and EMEA during Q3, with further rollouts scheduled soon after. Stay tuned to PPDS.com for further updates.
