Zain Bahrain expands OneCX with Text AI customer service platform

Zain Bahrain has signed a partnership agreement with customer service technology company Text to integrate its AI-powered platform into the operator’s OneCX customer experience portfolio, expanding the range of enterprise software and managed services it can offer in Bahrain.

Under the agreement, Zain Bahrain has joined the Text Solution Partner Program, giving OneCX access to Text’s customer service technology stack for commercial deployment.

The integration will allow enterprise customers to manage interactions across chat, support requests and email through a single environment.

OneCX gains AI-driven automation and analytics

The Text integration adds AI-powered process automation and centralised data analytics to OneCX.

That gives enterprise customers a way to consolidate service interactions while also extracting operational insights from the same platform.

The combined offering is intended to reduce fragmentation across customer service channels and make it easier for businesses to manage communications and service performance from one interface.

Unified customer interaction becomes core proposition

OneCX is being positioned as a broader customer experience platform rather than simply a communications tool.

With Text integrated, organisations can bring together chat, email and support requests while applying automation to routine service processes.

Centralised analytics can also help enterprises monitor service levels, identify recurring issues and improve decision-making around customer support operations.

Partnership aligns with Zain Group’s 4WARD strategy

Ali Al Banna, senior product manager of OneCX at Zain Bahrain, said the partnership strengthens OneCX’s ability to deliver intelligent customer experience solutions.

He added that the agreement supports Zain Group’s 4WARD strategy, which focuses on technology-led growth and digital transformation across the group’s markets.

That makes the deal part of a broader shift in Zain’s enterprise strategy, where software, platforms and digital services sit alongside traditional connectivity.

Text gains formal route into Bahrain enterprise market

Text specialises in AI-powered customer service infrastructure.

Zain Bahrain’s participation in the Text Solution Partner Program gives OneCX formal access to the company’s technology stack and creates a route for deployment among enterprise customers in Bahrain.

The arrangement allows Zain Bahrain to expand its capabilities without having to develop an equivalent AI customer service platform entirely in-house.

Why this matters

The deal reflects a wider trend among Gulf telecom operators to expand beyond connectivity and move deeper into enterprise software, cloud, managed services and AI-enabled business platforms.

For Zain Bahrain, enhancing OneCX through third-party technology partnerships can support deeper enterprise penetration while reducing the time and capital required to build proprietary tools.

It also strengthens the operator’s position in a market where enterprises increasingly expect telecom providers to deliver integrated digital services rather than connectivity alone.

Editor’s note

The strategic value here is less about the addition of another customer service tool and more about how Zain Bahrain is broadening its enterprise role.

By integrating specialised AI software into OneCX, the operator is building a more complete managed-services proposition around customer experience.

That model can be attractive for telecom operators because it adds higher-value recurring software and service revenue on top of core connectivity, while letting them move faster through partnerships instead of developing every capability internally.
