Edotco announced on Monday that its Bangladesh unit has entered into a multi-year agreement with Grameenphone to extend their existing infrastructure leasing partnership, aimed at supporting the expansion of Grameenphone’s 4G network into underserved regions of Bangladesh.
Although the length of the agreement, the number of towers involved, and financial details were not disclosed, Edotco emphasized that this renewed strategic partnership would not only help Grameenphone broaden its network coverage in remote areas but also enhance digital connectivity across the nation. The partnership aligns with Bangladesh’s digital transformation goals and supports its push for greater digital inclusion.
Sunil Issac, Country Managing Director of Edotco Bangladesh, stated, “This renewed partnership with Grameenphone enables us to continue building the infrastructure needed to support 4G network expansion, enabling digital access even in remote and underserved areas. By aligning our expertise with Grameenphone’s vision, we aim to bridge the digital divide and contribute to Bangladesh’s digital transformation.”
Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone, added, “Together with Edotco, we aim to strengthen our network capabilities and provide enhanced digital experiences for our customers while contributing to Bangladesh’s progress toward becoming a digitally empowered nation.”
