Oman’s Foreign Ministry has launched a new e-services platform and mobile application designed to integrate advanced technology into its diplomatic and consular operations. The initiative aims to improve access to consular services, enable real-time communication, and facilitate seamless interaction between citizens, residents, visitors, and Omani embassies worldwide.
H.E. Khalid al Muslahi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, led the launch event, emphasizing the platform’s role in modernizing operations and enhancing government performance through innovation. The platform is part of Oman’s broader effort to streamline procedures and improve communication between the public and Omani embassies globally.
This digital transformation aligns with Oman Vision 2040, focusing on improving operational efficiency, reducing paper-based processes, and enhancing digital engagement. It integrates cutting-edge cybersecurity features and connects with other government systems to ensure secure and swift transactions.
The platform includes an integrated electronic payment system and provides multiple service access options. Additionally, the mobile application enables instant communication with Omani embassies, electronic registration of traveler data, and access to consular updates, ensuring timely responses to developments.
This new initiative demonstrates Oman’s commitment to using technology to improve the efficiency and accessibility of consular services.
