The Egyptian Journalists’ Syndicate recently organized a specialized training workshop on digital literacy, in collaboration with TikTok. This initiative is part of an ongoing partnership, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of digital literacy, information verification, and the creation of impactful content.
The workshop is the second in a series, following an initial session held in July of the previous year. It consisted of two key sessions. The first session focused on best practices for creating engaging and valuable digital content, introducing journalists to creative tools like sound effects and interactive videos to boost content reach and effectiveness.
Through this collaboration, the Syndicate aims to equip journalists with the skills necessary to navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape, promote responsible content creation, and ensure the protection of online privacy. This partnership follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last year between the Syndicate and TikTok.
