Škoda Auto has officially entered the Omani market, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s strategic expansion across the Middle East. This move reinforces Škoda’s ambition to extend its reach beyond its European home market, following the opening of a state-of-the-art, fully digital showroom in Muscat. The new facility, developed in partnership with Premium Motors, a part of the Alfardan Group, signals the beginning of Škoda’s comprehensive approach to establishing itself in the Omani automotive market.
The initial launch in Oman includes the introduction of a full range of internal combustion engine (ICE) models, including sedans and SUVs. Among the models introduced is the compact Kushaq, imported from India, and the flagship seven-seater Kodiaq, available with all-wheel drive. Škoda’s Muscat showroom offers an interactive, digital-first customer experience, including a digital configurator and an immersive digital wall. A dedicated motorsport corner is also included to celebrate Škoda’s strong racing heritage.
Martin Jahn, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Škoda Auto, emphasized the significance of this launch, stating, “Entering the Omani market is a key step in expanding our footprint in the Middle East. Our strategic collaboration with Premium Motors will enable us to deliver advanced European automotive technology and exceptional customer service to Oman.”
The partnership with Premium Motors will also ensure a robust aftersales experience, with the Muscat showroom housing an exclusive service center with eight work bays. Škoda’s long-term commitment to the market includes plans to open three additional showrooms and service centers across Oman by 2029.
As part of its expansion strategy, Škoda aims to achieve 10,000 annual vehicle deliveries across the Middle East. The diverse vehicle lineup introduced in Oman includes popular European-built sedans, hatchbacks, and SUVs, with a focus on high-performance models like the new Octavia RS. Škoda also plans to introduce electric vehicles to the Middle East in the near future.
Oman’s thriving automotive market, supported by a growing economy and a favorable business environment, presents a perfect opportunity for Škoda to establish itself as a leader in the region. With a population of approximately 4.5 million and a high vehicle density, demand for advanced, reliable, and cost-effective vehicles is on the rise. Škoda’s entry into the market reflects its commitment to providing tailored solutions that meet the needs of Omani customers.
With 130 years of experience, Škoda Auto continues to evolve, offering vehicles that prioritize customer satisfaction, safety, and efficiency. The company is now well-positioned to become a significant player in the Middle Eastern automotive market, with plans to further strengthen its regional presence in the years to come.
