Saudi Esports Federation Partners with PUBG Mobile to Strengthen Local Esports Ecosystem

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PUBG Mobile, marking a strategic partnership aimed at providing unprecedented opportunities for players in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration will integrate the Federation’s Saudi eLeague tournament circuit into the PUBG Mobile National Championship ecosystem, enhancing the Kingdom’s esports development from grassroots to professional levels.

As part of the agreement, the winner of the PUBG Mobile National Championship will secure a spot in the prestigious PUBG Mobile World Cup, which will take place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh in July and August. The World Cup will feature a $3 million prize pool, with 24 teams from across the globe competing in one of the most anticipated battle royale competitions.

The Saudi Esports Federation has been working tirelessly to grow the country’s esports ecosystem and ensure its long-term sustainability. Over the past year, SEF has formed several strategic partnerships, including an MoU with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang developer MOONTON Games in August 2024, to further boost industry growth.

Recently, the SEF opened the SEF Arena, a key venue for the Saudi eLeague, and launched the SEF Academy to nurture young talent. HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, President of the Saudi Esports Federation, remarked, “The SEF continues to take bold steps to strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership in the global esports arena. Through collaborations with leading titles like PUBG Mobile, we are expanding opportunities for players, building pathways to international competition, and accelerating the development of a dynamic esports ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.”
