At the 28th meeting of GCC information ministers, held in Kuwait, the pilot version of a unified mobile application was launched, aimed at integrating news services from GCC member states. The event was chaired by Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
The experimental app is designed to offer users direct access to official news, livestreams from GCC television and radio channels, photo archives, video content, and updates from the social media accounts of each member state’s news agency. Powered by advanced artificial intelligence, the platform aggregates content from official media outlets across the GCC.
Ministers highlighted the app’s potential to enhance media accessibility, support digital transformation, and foster greater collaboration among the region’s news agencies. The app is set to deliver high-quality media content tailored to Gulf audiences, in line with the region’s rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
