Over 20% of Saudi Arabia’s Internet Users Regularly Use AI Tools, CST Reports

More than one in five internet users in Saudi Arabia (21.5%) actively engage with artificial intelligence (AI) tools, according to new data from the Kingdom’s Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST). The highest usage rate is among the 20-29 age group, where 27.3% report regular AI tool use.

These tools include smart translation, virtual assistants, content creation, and data analysis, increasingly embedded in both personal and professional contexts. The CST attributes this surge to Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation under Vision 2030, supported by enhanced infrastructure, growing digital literacy, and greater awareness of AI’s benefits.

Compared globally, Saudi Arabia’s AI adoption rate surpasses the 15% worldwide average reported by Statista in 2024 and ranks higher than the U.S. (19%) and close to China (22%), positioning the Kingdom as a regional and global leader in AI use.
