EOS-X SPACE to Launch Space Flights in Abu Dhabi by 2025

EOS-X SPACE, a pioneering European space exploration firm of Spanish origin, is set to launch space flights in Abu Dhabi by the third quarter of 2025. This initiative, spearheaded by Founder and CEO Kemel Kharbachi, will also include operations in Seville, Spain. The company is finalizing the development of its Spaceship One manned capsules and plans to conduct validation tests with military pilots in collaboration with Spain’s National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA).

Key Highlights:

  • Ambitious Plans for Abu Dhabi: EOS-X SPACE will establish its most ambitious complex in Abu Dhabi, featuring a spaceport and a significant hotel complex on Yas Island. A third facility is planned for Tulum, Mexico, expected to be operational by 2026.
  • Unique Space Travel Experience: Unlike other companies that use rockets, EOS-X SPACE offers space travel via pressurized capsules lifted by eco-friendly helium balloons. These capsules can accommodate up to eight people and reach the stratosphere at an altitude of 40,000 meters, providing a five-hour trip with breathtaking views of space and Earth’s curvature.
  • Affordable Luxury: The cost per passenger ranges between €150,000 and €200,000, significantly lower than traditional rocket flights, and includes a week-long personalized program with cultural, gastronomic, and wellness experiences.

Financial Investment and Projections:

  • Investment Plans: The total planned investment for the Abu Dhabi and Seville complexes will exceed $230 million in engineering and development. EOS-X SPACE is currently in the midst of a €115 million Series D investment round led by US investment bank FTI Capital Advisor.
  • Revenue and Growth: The space tourism market is valued at over $9 billion. EOS-X SPACE anticipates revenue growth of 220% over five years, with expected combined revenues from Spain and Abu Dhabi reaching $353 million in 2025 and aiming for a turnover of $1.127 billion by 2029.

Market and Clientele:

  • Target Audience: EOS-X SPACE targets high-net-worth (HNW) individuals capable of spending between €150,000 and €200,000 for an unparalleled space travel experience. The potential customer base includes around 20 million ‘ultra-rich’ individuals worldwide.
  • Future Prospects: CEO Kemel Kharbachi envisions a future where space tourism becomes more accessible, akin to the aviation industry, though it currently remains an ultra-luxury product aimed at a specific clientele.

Conclusion

The expansion of EOS-X SPACE into Abu Dhabi and Seville marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to make space tourism a reality. With substantial investment and innovative technology, EOS-X SPACE is poised to lead the way in offering a unique and luxurious space travel experience.
