Muscat – The second edition of Muscat Daily’s Cybersecurity and Cloud Conference & Awards is scheduled for July 9 at the Intercity Hotel in Al Khuwair, Muscat. Building on last year’s success, the conference will gather top experts in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and tech innovation to explore challenges and opportunities arising from quantum technologies.
The event will feature policymakers, business leaders, security professionals, and digital transformation experts. Dr. Salim Sultan al Ruzaiqi, State Council Member and Oman Information Technology Society Chairman, will be chief guest, while Dr. Salim al Shuaili, Chief AI Officer at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), will deliver the keynote.
Endorsed by MTCIT and supported by key public and private sector organizations including Securado, Khimji ITC, Oman Housing Bank, Sultan Qaboos University, and others, the conference’s theme is “Cybersecurity in the Quantum Era: Challenges and Opportunities.” It will address the evolving risks and protective strategies linked to advancements in quantum computing and artificial intelligence.
Attendees can expect expert panels, interactive sessions, case studies, and an awards ceremony recognizing excellence in cybersecurity and cloud adoption across sectors like banking, energy, telecom, healthcare, and manufacturing. Over 200 delegates including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and IT heads are expected.
The Cyber Guardians of Oman Challenge 2025, a Capture the Flag competition, will run alongside the conference, starting with an online elimination on July 3 and culminating at the event. This challenge aims to spotlight top cybersecurity talent in Oman.
