Abu Dhabi – The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with e& money, the fintech arm of technology group e&, to provide wage protection services for domestic workers via the e& money platform.
The partnership integrates MOHRE’s Wage Protection System (WPS) API into e& money’s platform, enabling employers to disburse salaries securely and in full compliance with UAE labor regulations. While WPS has traditionally covered private sector employees, this initiative expands its reach to include domestic workers, a largely unbanked segment of the workforce.
How It Works
Employers of domestic workers registered with MOHRE can access wage protection services directly through the e& money app. Worker details — including name and salary — appear automatically, allowing for quick and seamless payments. Wage records are securely stored through direct integration with MOHRE systems, ensuring transparency, compliance, and ease of use.
