Ooredoo and Qatar Airways Partner to Advance AI, Cloud, and Cybersecurity in Qatar

Doha – Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications and ICT provider, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Airways, the world’s top-ranked airline by Skytrax in 2025, to expand collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, and Cybersecurity. The partnership builds on 15 years of co-innovation between the two national champions and aims to accelerate Qatar’s digital transformation.

At the core of the initiative is the creation of a national AI hub, designed to deliver advanced infrastructure, tools, and secure data frameworks. By combining Ooredoo’s technology investments with Qatar Airways’ operational expertise, the hub will reinforce Qatar’s strategic ambition to become a global leader in AI-driven innovation and economic diversification.

The collaboration will also prioritize local talent development. Through training and upskilling programs, the initiative seeks to equip the next generation of professionals with advanced skills in AI, Cloud, and Cybersecurity—supporting sustainable development and strengthening Qatar’s competitive edge.

Ooredoo’s recent deployment of the NVIDIA GPU platform in July 2025 will further power this transformation. Offering high-performance computing capabilities, the platform will accelerate innovation for businesses, government entities, and developers across Qatar.

“Sheikh Ali Bin Jabor Al-Thani, CEO of Ooredoo, emphasized the alliance’s role in ‘unleashing AI’s transformative power to redefine what’s achievable,’ while Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group, highlighted how the airline has already integrated AI into its operations and sees this partnership as a chance to set new benchmarks for customer experience and operational excellence.”

Together, Ooredoo and Qatar Airways are laying the foundation for an intelligent, connected future—one where AI-enabled services strengthen both industries and propel Qatar’s vision for a knowledge-based, technology-driven economy.
