Jahangirnagar University (JU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Edotco Bangladesh Co. Ltd. to strengthen mobile network coverage across its campus. The agreement was formalized during a ceremony at the university’s Council Hall, with JU Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rob and Edotco Director Dr. Sabbir Ahmad signing on behalf of their respective institutions.
The event was attended by JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Sohel Ahmed, Acting Registrar Dr. A B M Azizur Rahman, Proctor Professor Dr. A K M Rashidul Alam, and other senior officials, alongside representatives from Edotco.
As part of the MoU, Edotco Bangladesh will install five mobile towers at key locations within the JU campus, ensuring uninterrupted network access for students, faculty, and staff. The initiative aims to improve digital connectivity, support academic activities, and enhance overall campus communication infrastructure.
