Egypt’s NTRA and NCPD Partner to Improve Digital Services for Persons with Disabilities

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) to enhance telecom and digital services for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Egypt. The agreement underscores the state’s commitment to empowering PwDs and ensuring their full integration into the digital society.

Under the protocol, both organizations will exchange expertise and coordinate efforts to align telecom services with international accessibility standards. The partnership also includes joint awareness campaigns, specialized workshops, and the creation of an effective mechanism to address complaints from PwDs, particularly those with hearing and visual impairments.

The initiative aims to ensure better service quality, broader accessibility, and greater diversity of offerings, advancing Egypt’s inclusion goals in line with global best practices.
