Oman Towers Finalizes Strategic Partnership with Brookfield to Accelerate Telecom Growth

Oman Tower Company (Oman Towers) has officially sealed its strategic partnership with Brookfield, marking the conclusion of a majority acquisition deal first announced in June. The move, celebrated in a recent ceremony, underscores growing international investor confidence in Oman’s telecom tower sector.

Majid Amer Al Kharoosi, CEO of Oman Towers, highlighted that the partnership goes beyond financial backing. He noted it will bolster operational capabilities, improve governance, and ensure long-term sustainability, fully aligning with Oman’s national digital transformation goals.

Founded in 2018, Oman Towers manages around 2,450 tower sites nationwide in collaboration with mobile operators. While Brookfield now holds a controlling stake, existing investors Burooj Telecommunications Networks and Al Souroh Investment will remain involved as strategic partners.

For Brookfield, the acquisition enhances its Middle Eastern presence and adds to its global telecom tower portfolio of approximately 315,000 sites. This includes its major ATC India acquisition, which brought 257,000 sites under the Data Infrastructure Trust (DIT). With Oman Towers in its portfolio, Brookfield has secured its position as the world’s second-largest tower operator and the largest outside China.
