Beyon Connect, a subsidiary of Bahrain’s Beyon Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) and Egypt’s Post Connect to drive digital transformation for postal operators across Africa. The agreement was formalised on September 23, 2025.
The partnership will introduce secure, scalable digital services to PAPU’s 45 member states. Key solutions include Electronic Registered Mail (ERM), a legally recognised digital version of registered mail, and a Digital Vault designed for secure storage and sharing of official documents.
Under the agreement, Beyon Connect will leverage its expertise in digital mailboxes and digital identity, while Post Connect will contribute its knowledge of trusted digital services. Together, they will support the development of a Pan-African Postal Digital Framework (PA-PDF), providing training, technical support, and infrastructure for postal operators and ministries.
The initiative is expected to boost e-government services, strengthen secure communications, and enhance financial inclusion, enabling millions of Africans to access digital services through their national postal networks.
