Islamabad — Google has announced the rollout of its Google AI Plus plan in 40 additional countries, including Pakistan, following its successful debut in Indonesia earlier this month. The subscription aims to make powerful AI tools more accessible, boosting productivity and creativity at an affordable price.
“Pakistan’s digital landscape is vibrant and growing, and we’ve been inspired by the creativity Pakistanis have shown in adopting AI tools,” said Farhan Qureshi, Country Director of Google Pakistan. “With Google AI Plus, we are making these tools even more accessible, helping drive Pakistan’s digital transformation.”
Key features of the plan include:
- Higher limits for image generation and editing in the Gemini app
- Expanded access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s most advanced AI model for complex tasks
- Access to Veo 3 Fast, Google’s video generation model, across Gemini, Whisk, and Flow
- Gemini integration with Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and other Workspace apps
- 200 GB of storage across Photos, Drive, and Gmail
- Family sharing for up to five members
Google AI Plus is priced at Rs1,400 per month in Pakistan, with a 50% discount for first-time subscribers during the first six months.
The launch comes amid growing collaboration between Google and the Government of Pakistan. In July, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with Google’s Regional AI Developer Ecosystem team to explore initiatives in AI training and workforce development, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to embedding AI in education and the economy.
