WOLIZ Signs Agreement in Morocco to Digitally Equip 90,000 Merchants

Rabat – September 30, 2025 – WOLIZ has signed a framework agreement with Morocco’s Ministry of Industry and Trade to accelerate the digital transformation of the country’s retail sector. The initiative will provide 20,000 neighborhood nanostores with connected terminals and extend the WOLIZ platform to 90,000 merchants nationwide.

The program is designed to empower small shopkeepers—considered the backbone of local economies—by equipping them with digital tools that streamline operations, expand payment options, and boost financial inclusion. Merchants will gain improved capabilities in managing inventory, processing transactions, and tapping into new opportunities within the digital marketplace.

WOLIZ stressed that this effort goes beyond technology deployment, representing a broader ambition to transform retail across Africa. By strengthening the resilience of small merchants and supporting last-mile entrepreneurs, the initiative aims to foster long-term sustainability and innovation in one of the continent’s most critical economic sectors.

The Morocco rollout marks the first step in WOLIZ’s larger vision of reshaping the future of neighborhood retail across Africa, positioning the country as a launchpad for broader regional impact.
