Toffee Sets Record with 38 Million Streams During Asia Cup

Dhaka — Bangladesh’s top digital entertainment platform, Toffee, has achieved a new milestone, drawing 38 million total streams during its live broadcast of the Asia Cup, setting a national record for digital sports viewership.

The platform — operated by Banglalink — saw its highest traffic during the India–Bangladesh match, which alone garnered 3.3 million peak views, marking the largest-ever audience for a single sporting event streamed in Bangladesh.

“The overwhelming response to our Asia Cup live streaming is a clear reflection of how Toffee is fundamentally reshaping digital entertainment in Bangladesh,” said Golam Kibria, Chief Digital Officer at Banglalink.

Toffee, which offers high-quality, network-agnostic streaming across all mobile operators, continues to strengthen its position as Bangladesh’s go-to digital destination for live sports. The platform’s expanding lineup includes major international tournaments such as the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and the English Premier League (EPL).

Kibria added that reaching 38 million views signals a “major shift towards mobile-first, network-independent content consumption,” underscoring Toffee’s growing influence in the digital entertainment landscape.
