Abu Dhabi, October 29, 2025 — Cisco and G42 have announced an expanded collaboration to deploy advanced, secure AI infrastructure in the UAE, powered by AMD’s next-generation MI350X GPUs. The initiative underscores Cisco’s long-term commitment to building trusted, high-performance infrastructure for the AI era and G42’s leadership in sovereign AI innovation.
The partnership will see Cisco provide full-stack infrastructure—spanning compute, networking, storage, security, optics, and observability—powering G42’s large-scale AI cluster within its Regulated Technology Environment (RTE). This gold-standard compliance framework ensures the highest levels of protection, transparency, and governance for advanced compute systems, preventing unauthorized access or misuse.
This deployment builds on the broader US–UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, which includes the 1GW Stargate UAE cluster and the 5GW UAE–US AI technology campus announced earlier this year. The collaboration aligns with both nations’ shared ambition to advance secure, scalable, and responsible AI development.
According to Cisco research, 92% of UAE organizations plan to deploy AI agents within a year, but only 25% currently have sufficient GPU capacity. The Cisco–G42 initiative aims to bridge that gap, accelerating national AI readiness and driving the UAE’s next phase of digital transformation.
The new AI infrastructure will integrate Cisco UCS 885A servers with AMD MI350X GPUs, high-speed Nexus 9K 800G switches, VAST AI OS, Firepower 4200 firewalls, Nexus Dashboard, and Intersight automation tools—offering unmatched scalability, security, and performance.
Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, said: “This collaboration deepens trust and technological alignment between the US and UAE. Together with Cisco and AMD, we’re building sovereign, compliant AI infrastructure that empowers innovation while upholding the highest governance standards.”
Chuck Robbins, Cisco Chair and CEO, added: “Cisco is proud to power the UAE’s next wave of AI innovation through secure and responsible infrastructure, reinforcing our role in the nation’s digital transformation journey.”
AMD Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su commented: “Our MI350X accelerators deliver the performance and scalability needed for sovereign AI innovation, positioning the UAE as a global leader in advanced AI development.”
The deployment represents a major milestone in strengthening the UAE’s AI ecosystem—integrating US technology expertise with G42’s leadership in regulated, trusted AI infrastructure.
