Beyon Commissions Bahrain’s First White Space Data Centre to Power Digital Growth

Manama, November 3, 2025 — Beyon has announced the completion and commissioning of the Batelco by Beyon White Space Data Centre in Manama — the first facility of its kind in Bahrain — marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure expansion. The announcement was made during the Gateway Gulf Investor Forum 2025.

The new 6,000 sq. m White Space Data Centre forms a core part of Beyon’s Data Oasis, a 140,000 sq. m digital hub located in southern Bahrain. Designed to international standards, the centre features sector-agnostic architecture, redundant power and cooling systems, and enterprise-grade scalability to support AI workloads, hyperscale cloud deployments, government applications, and large-scale enterprise operations.

“This achievement could not have been realized without the strong support of Bahrain’s government entities and authorities,” said Andrew Kvaalseth, CEO of Beyon. “We remain committed to investments that attract global technology leaders while empowering local and regional innovators.”

Maitham Abdulla, CEO of Batelco by Beyon, emphasized the facility’s cutting-edge capabilities: “The new White Space Data Centre is the largest and most power-dense in Bahrain, and among the most energy-efficient in the region. It demonstrates our dedication to advancing Bahrain’s vision for a smart, sustainable digital future.”

Aligned with Beyon’s sustainability agenda, the data centre is directly linked to the company’s Solar Park, sourcing a significant portion of its energy from renewable sources. This integration helps customers meet their own environmental and ESG targets while ensuring operational resilience.

As part of Beyon’s broader vision, the White Space Data Centre will serve as a gateway for global cloud, AI, and digital service providers, reinforcing Bahrain’s status as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
