Abu Dhabi has announced 29 commercial agreements to deploy autonomous mobility technologies, marking a major milestone in its drive to lead next-generation transport and AI-driven logistics. The deals, revealed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) during the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week (ADAW), cover land, air, and industrial applications and bring together companies such as K2, LODD Autonomous, Autologix, Sinaha, TractEasy, MLG, and Space42.
Under the supervision of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), the emirate is developing one of the world’s most advanced integrated autonomy ecosystems—combining regulation, R&D, infrastructure, and commercialization. The 29 partnerships span e-commerce delivery with Talabat, Noon, and Aramex, cold-chain medical transport with PureLab, and Level 4 cargo vehicle deployment through Autologix and Emirates Post.
Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week serves as the UAE’s global platform for collaboration in AI, robotics, and mobility, hosting events like the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025, and the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL)—the world’s first high-speed, AI-only racing series. The A2RL turns racetracks into AI laboratories, with each race providing real-world data for the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and commercial ventures via VentureOne.
Beyond the track, the emirate’s strategy links Aspire (for grand tech challenges), TII (for foundational research), and VentureOne (for commercialization), creating a seamless pipeline from innovation to deployment. Parallelly, Abu Dhabi is nurturing local talent through STEM and UNICEF-backed programs, training Emirati students in AI navigation, drone coding, and autonomous system design.
By uniting research, regulation, and commercialization, Abu Dhabi is not just adopting autonomy—it is defining the global standards for intelligent mobility.
