Iran’s Internet Speed Improves in October Rankings

Iran’s internet performance climbed three spots in October 2025, according to the latest data from Speedtest. The country recorded a median mobile download speed of 56.63 Mbps, upload speed of 12.41 Mbps, and latency of 26 ms, placing it 72nd globally.

Globally, mobile internet speeds continue to be led by the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait, while Singapore topped fixed broadband rankings with over 400 Mbps.

For fixed broadband, Iran posted a median download speed of 19.88 Mbps and upload speed of 5.71 Mbps, with 23 ms latency—still far below global averages but showing continued progress. The update comes as internet speed remains a core indicator of digital service quality and user experience.
