DXC Technology and ITIDA Partner to Expand Neurodiversity Employment Programs in Egypt

DXC Technology has partnered with Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to launch the DXC Dandelion Program in Egypt — a major initiative aimed at building awareness, acceptance, and career pathways for neurodiverse individuals in the IT sector. The program builds on DXC’s global success across Australia, the UK, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, and the Philippines.

Witnessed by Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Amr Talaat and Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, the agreement highlights Egypt’s commitment to inclusive digital transformation. Dr. Talaat stressed that enabling neurodivergent individuals to contribute meaningfully to Egypt’s ICT sector strengthens national digital-economy goals and expands economic empowerment.

The three-year program will identify, train, and offer work experience to up to 60 neurodiverse individuals aged 18–30, combining life-skills training with technical development in areas such as software testing, infrastructure monitoring, AI, and data analytics. ITIDA CEO Eng. Ahmed Elzaher noted that the initiative reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading technology hub and a competitive global offshoring destination.

The DXC Dandelion Program, established in 2014, focuses on creating IT careers for neurodivergent individuals — including those with autism and ADHD — without requiring prior professional experience. It has supported 350+ people worldwide and earned over 25 international awards. The Egypt launch will leverage DXC’s Cairo-based regional delivery centre, which currently serves 20+ customers and employs over 600 professionals, with plans to grow to 1,000 by 2027.

DXC Egypt Managing Director Neveen Galal highlighted the exceptional strengths neurodivergent people bring — such as pattern recognition, deep focus, and analytical thinking — which are highly valuable in software testing, cybersecurity, and data analytics. She noted that the program addresses both inclusion and talent shortages in the fast-growing ICT sector.

Egypt’s ICT industry has been one of the nation’s strongest economic performers, posting 14–16% annual growth and contributing nearly 6% to national GDP. With digital exports expected to reach USD 7.4 billion this year, the ITIDA–DXC partnership supports broader national ambitions under the Digital Egypt Strategy to build a future-ready workforce.
