Cairo, December 11, 2025:
DHL Express, the global leader in logistics and express delivery services, announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with YANMU Logistics, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Group, to establish a new state-of-the-art service center in the East Cairo Logistics Park (ECLP) on Suez Road. The project forms part of DHL’s broader strategy to expand its infrastructure and strengthen its operational footprint across Egypt, supported by an investment of up to EUR 24 million.

The signing ceremony took place at the Hassan Allam Group headquarters, attended by senior executives from both organizations, including Abdulaziz Busbate, CEO of DHL Express Middle East and North Africa; Osama Ibrahim, Country Manager of DHL Express Egypt; Hisham Nadi, Senior Director Operations of DHL Express Egypt; Dalia Wahba, CEO of Hassan Allam Utilities; and Karim Hefzi, COO of Hassan Allam Utilities.

The new facility, set to become DHL’s largest service center in Egypt, will feature a built-up area of 11,000 square meters within a total area of 13,000 square meters, including service spaces and parking. Designed to meet TAPA A global safety and security standards, the center is expected to double DHL’s operational capacity, enabling a larger vehicle fleet, faster delivery and pick-up services, and supporting plans to achieve a 27% increase in business volume by 2035.

The investment highlights DHL’s long-term commitment to innovation and operational excellence while reinforcing its role in strengthening regional and global connectivity. Leveraging Egypt’s strategic position as a gateway between Africa, the Middle East, and global markets, the new service center is expected to enhance cross-border network efficiency and trade facilitation.

Strategically located near the Ring Road and Suez Road, the operations center will improve delivery accuracy and streamline logistics services for customers across Greater Cairo and beyond.

In parallel, DHL Express will expand its customs clearance facility at Cairo International Airport. Additional investments will support the integration of advanced systems and automation to improve the speed and efficiency of inbound and outbound shipment processing.

Abdulaziz Busbate, CEO of DHL Express Middle East and North Africa, said the new facility represents a strategic step aligned with the company’s growth in Egypt, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and service quality. He noted that the project reflects DHL’s confidence in Egypt’s economy and its growing importance as a regional logistics hub.

Karim Hefzi, Chief Operations Officer of Hassan Allam Utilities, said the partnership supports DHL’s expansion plans and reflects the group’s ability to deliver advanced logistics infrastructure that meets market needs and supports long-term growth of Egypt’s logistics sector.

DHL Express continues to expand its operations in Egypt to meet evolving trade and commerce demands. The East Cairo Logistics Park service center represents one of the company’s most significant strategic expansion initiatives in the country, contributing to national logistics development and broader economic growth.
