Group-IB, VAS in deal to boost cybersecurity across Saudi Arabia

Group-IB, a global developer of cybersecurity technologies for investigating, preventing, and combating digital crime, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VAS Integrated Solutions to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. VAS is a value-added distributor providing integrated IT solutions across multiple industry verticals.

The agreement establishes a framework for strategic cooperation and future channel-led expansion in Saudi Arabia, focusing on knowledge sharing, innovation, and the development of cybersecurity solutions tailored to the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.

The MoU was signed by Mohammad Flaifel, Regional Sales Director for Saudi Arabia and Türkiye at Group-IB, and Bilal Abdulrahman, Country Manager for KSA and GCC at VAS Integrated Solutions, on the sidelines of Black Hat MEA. The signing reflects a shared commitment to supporting the growth of Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity ecosystem through strong local partnerships.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate on joint market development, partner enablement, and awareness initiatives. The cooperation is grounded in Group-IB’s adversary-centric and predictive approach to cyber threat and fraud intelligence, which is delivered through its Digital Crime Resistance Center (DCRC) model.

Group-IB’s DCRC combines local expertise across the Middle East and Africa with global threat intelligence and investigative capabilities, enabling organisations in Saudi Arabia to anticipate, prevent, and respond to complex cyber and fraud threats with speed and local context.

Commenting on the partnership, Mohammad Flaifel said the agreement marks an important step in strengthening Group-IB’s long-term channel strategy in Saudi Arabia and reflects its commitment to building a safer and more secure digital environment. He added that working closely with VAS will help expand the company’s footprint in the Kingdom and better support partners and customers with advanced, locally relevant cybersecurity capabilities.

Leveraging VAS Integrated Solutions’ local ecosystem, partner network, and market reach, the collaboration aims to deliver these capabilities effectively to organisations across Saudi Arabia, reinforcing national cybersecurity resilience in line with the Kingdom’s digital transformation priorities.

Beyond commercial cooperation, the MoU also emphasizes cybersecurity awareness and education. The partnership includes plans for joint initiatives such as webinars, workshops, training sessions, and the development of educational resources focused on online safety and fraud prevention. Opportunities to participate in advisory groups to elevate national cybersecurity awareness are also being explored.

Bilal Abdulrahman said the partnership reflects VAS’s commitment to empowering organisations with the tools and knowledge required to stay ahead of evolving digital threats, adding that the collaboration will drive impactful cybersecurity outcomes across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
