Lenovo appoints Tareq Alangari as Senior VP and President of META region

Lenovo has appointed Tareq Alangari as Senior Vice President and President of its Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) business. Alangari officially assumed the role on January 5, 2026, and will lead Lenovo’s regional operations from the company’s META headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The appointment aligns with Lenovo’s strategy to deepen its presence across the region by supporting national digital transformation agendas, including Saudi Vision 2030, the UAE National Digital Strategy, Dubai Smart City, Qatar National Vision 2030, and the African Union Digital Transformation Strategy. Lenovo continues to focus on AI-driven solutions, cloud infrastructure, and advanced computing technologies to enable governments, enterprises, and consumers to drive growth and innovation.

Alangari brings 25 years of leadership experience across the technology, telecommunications, cloud, and digital sectors. Prior to joining Lenovo, he served as CEO of e& enterprise Saudi Arabia, where he established and scaled the business into a leading provider of digital infrastructure, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and fintech solutions. His background in building high-growth businesses and delivering complex technology transformations is expected to strengthen Lenovo’s leadership team and accelerate its regional ambitions.
