Cerillion wins GBP £42.5m Omantel telecoms software deal

Cerillion has signed its largest contract to date, securing a five-year agreement worth approximately £42.5 million with Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel). The subscription-based deal covers the supply, implementation, hosting, and managed services of Cerillion’s business support systems (BSS) and operations support systems (OSS) platforms.

Under the agreement, Cerillion will deploy its full BSS and OSS suite across Omantel’s telecom operations, covering billing, charging, customer relationship management, service fulfilment, and network assurance. The contract includes an initial implementation phase, with work already underway ahead of the subscription term.

Omantel selected Cerillion following a competitive tender process that included larger global BSS and OSS providers. Cerillion said its productised platform model, full-service delivery capability, and operating framework focused on regular upgrades and operational flexibility were key differentiators. The platform is positioned as an alternative to bespoke systems, offering lower total cost of ownership and faster evolution.

Omantel is Oman’s integrated telecoms provider, delivering mobile, fixed, and broadband services domestically and internationally. The deal aligns with the operator’s transformation agenda under Oman Vision 2040, which aims to modernise the economy and expand national digital infrastructure.

Louis Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Cerillion, said Omantel is “transforming itself into a regional technology powerhouse” and expanding Oman’s digital infrastructure through advanced innovation initiatives. He added that the partnership reflects the strength of Cerillion’s offering and service model.

Cerillion, headquartered in London with operations across Europe and Asia, serves around 70 customers in 45 countries, primarily in telecommunications. The Omantel contract underpins market expectations for Cerillion’s financial performance in FY2026 and beyond.
