RIYADH: Riyadh municipality has launched a unified digital platform to streamline the approval of all urban plans, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The new system enables applicants in the real estate sector to submit requests electronically and track them through every stage, from initial review to final authorisation. It also provides clear technical guidelines for the design and development of urban plans.
The platform records each step of the review and approval process across the relevant committees and authorities, creating a single, transparent workflow. This approach is designed to reduce delays, improve coordination between agencies, and enhance the overall user experience.
By digitising planning procedures, the municipality aims to raise the quality of urban development, support faster project execution, and strengthen governance across Riyadh’s rapidly expanding real estate landscape.
The initiative forms part of the city’s broader digital transformation agenda, aligning urban planning with Saudi Arabia’s goals for efficiency, transparency, and smart city development.
