Kerno showcases UAE’s first enterprise-class technology manufacturing facility

Kerno Enterprises, an enterprise-level IT hardware manufacturer based in the UAE, hosted an exclusive tour of its upcoming technology manufacturing facility in Dubai Silicon Oasis on February 10, offering partners, customers, and media a first look at what the company describes as the country’s first enterprise-class, end-to-end IT manufacturing operation.

The facility, scheduled to begin operations soon, is designed to produce more than 60,000 enterprise systems annually in its first year, with expansion capacity planned as demand grows. The initiative supports the UAE’s broader push to strengthen local technology production capabilities while reducing reliance on imported enterprise infrastructure.

Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the facility integrates advanced manufacturing technologies including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, automated assembly units, and ISO 7 cleanroom environments for microelectronics production. The operation features precision component placement down to 15 micrometers, alongside 3D optical inspection and X-ray systems for printed circuit boards, with throughput capacity reaching up to 180,000 microelectronic components per hour.

Kerno’s manufacturing operations are supported by UAE-based research and development teams, locally owned intellectual property, dedicated engineering resources, and a globally diversified supply chain. This structure is intended to shorten lead times while ensuring enterprise and data-center grade performance standards for customers operating mission-critical infrastructure.

The company’s technology portfolio includes enterprise AI servers designed for both training and inference workloads, powered by the latest high-performance GPUs from leading semiconductor manufacturers including NVIDIA and AMD. In addition to AI infrastructure, Kerno produces universal x86 servers, data storage platforms, analytics systems, and enterprise solutions tailored for data centers and high-availability environments.

The event highlighted Kerno’s role in enabling secure, locally manufactured enterprise infrastructure at scale, a capability previously limited in the regional market. Attendees were guided through the complete manufacturing lifecycle, beginning with SMT and Through-Hole Technology (THT) processes and continuing through testing, custom solution manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, and outbound logistics operations.

Chris Caswell, CEO and Co-Founder of Kerno, said the facility demonstrates that enterprise-grade technology manufacturing can be developed and scaled within the UAE to meet global standards. Evgeny (Gene) Ostrovskiy, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, added that the initiative supports technological sovereignty while fostering long-term partnerships with global technology leaders and contributing to the growth of an advanced manufacturing ecosystem in the country.

The introduction of Kerno’s facility reflects the UAE’s continued investment in digital infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and local technology capability development as part of its broader innovation and industrial strategy.
