GBM strengthens leadership team with two senior appointments

Gulf Business Machines (GBM), an end-to-end digital solutions provider, has announced two senior leadership appointments as part of its strategy to strengthen executive leadership, expand market presence, and enhance customer-centric digital transformation initiatives across the UAE.

Dr Feras Al Jabi has joined GBM as General Manager of Technology, while Bassam Rached has been appointed General Manager of GBM Abu Dhabi. The appointments reflect the company’s focus on reinforcing operational leadership, advancing technological capabilities, and aligning more closely with evolving market and customer requirements.

In his new role, Dr Al Jabi will lead GBM’s technology strategy, overseeing the company’s solutions portfolio and delivery capabilities. His mandate includes advancing GBM’s cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and automation offerings, strengthening partnerships with global technology providers, and aligning the company’s innovation roadmap with national digital transformation priorities across the Gulf region.

Dr Al Jabi brings nearly three decades of experience from ITQAN, where he played a key role in building and scaling technology businesses across the UAE and GCC. His experience spans major enterprise and national transformation programs across government, healthcare, energy, and infrastructure sectors, with expertise in systems integration, multi-cloud environments, and long-term digital strategy development.

Bassam Rached, in his new position as General Manager of GBM Abu Dhabi, will oversee strategic initiatives and operations in the emirate, with a focus on accelerating growth and strengthening GBM’s role as a trusted partner in digital transformation. He will work closely with local teams to drive innovation, strengthen partnerships, and ensure solutions remain aligned with both global technological advancements and local business needs.

Rached brings more than two decades of experience in the regional technology sector and has held several senior leadership roles within GBM, most recently serving as General Manager of Technology, where he contributed to shaping the company’s portfolio strategy and leading major transformation initiatives for key customers.

Marwan Faraj Bin Hamoodah, Chairman of GBM, said the appointments form part of a broader leadership strategy aimed at enhancing operational excellence, strengthening customer engagement, and building a more integrated and innovation-driven organization capable of supporting the UAE’s digital economy ambitions.
