Grameenphone and ZTE have officially partnered to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI into Bangladesh’s telecommunications infrastructure. Signed at Mobile World Congress 2026, the Memorandum of Understanding outlines a plan to deploy ZTE’s AIR Net autonomous network solution to manage complex tasks like cross-domain fault handling and customer service automation.
By utilizing an Agent-to-Agent (A2A-T) protocol, the collaboration aims to shift from human-driven operations to a self-orchestrating, closed-loop system. This initiative not only targets operational efficiency and network resilience but also includes a joint effort with the TM Forum to establish global benchmarks for AI-powered autonomous network maturity.
