Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy holds 72 industry meetings to assess tech sector resilience amid regional disruption

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has conducted 72 direct meetings with technology companies operating across the emirate, gathering first-hand assessments of business continuity challenges facing the sector amid ongoing regional conflict and global disruption.

The meetings brought together companies specialising in artificial intelligence, fintech, cloud computing, cybersecurity and e-commerce, with discussions centred on identifying practical solutions to sustain operations, adapt to a rapidly shifting environment and maintain Dubai’s position as a technology hub destination for startups and international investors.

“We remain committed to empowering technology companies in Dubai and ensuring they can adapt rapidly to evolving global circumstances,” said Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. “We are implementing swift and effective solutions to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of Dubai’s digital ecosystem.”

The chamber’s outreach comes as the UAE’s tech sector navigates a period of heightened operational pressure. Iranian drone strikes have already disrupted AWS data centre facilities in the UAE and Bahrain and targeted Thuraya Telecommunications’ administrative building in Sharjah, forcing cloud-dependent businesses to stress-test continuity plans that many had not expected to activate under wartime conditions.
