Algerian Minister of Post and Telecommunications Karim Bibi Triki has initiated a project to extend the 4G mobile phone network in Ain Defla, aiming to cover 1,400 localities with populations under 2,000 across the country’s 58 wilayas.
According to Minister Bibi Triki, this project holds significant strategic importance, as it contributes to the digital development of the region and establishes the necessary conditions for achieving digital transformation in Algeria, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The initiative is part of the Universal Electronic Communications Service, which aims to ensure that every citizen, regardless of their geographical location or social status, has access to essential telecommunications services, particularly affordable internet access. The implementation of this project will bolster digital transformation by connecting populations in remote areas to the internet.
