Dialog Axiata PLC has announced its earnings results for the third quarter and the nine months ended September 30, 2024. For the third quarter, the company reported sales of LKR 42,832.52 million, down from LKR 45,034.21 million in the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was LKR 4,495.01 million, an increase from LKR 3,062.56 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations were LKR 0.49, compared to LKR 0.37 in the previous year, while diluted earnings per share also stood at LKR 0.49, matching the basic earnings per share.
For the nine-month period, sales totaled LKR 125,375.18 million, a decline from LKR 139,559.21 million in the same period last year. Net income for the nine months dropped to LKR 5,690.13 million, compared to LKR 14,857.35 million a year earlier. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations were LKR 0.66, down from LKR 1.8 in the previous year, and diluted earnings per share also fell to LKR 0.66, reflecting the same decrease.
