Pakistan and Qatar Commit to Strengthening IT, Startups, and Cybersecurity Collaboration

Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to strengthen their collaboration in the fields of information technology (IT), startups, and cybersecurity, as discussed during a meeting between Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of IT and Telecommunications, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, on Tuesday.

Khawaja emphasized the strong ties between the two nations and highlighted the significant potential for growth in the IT and telecommunications sectors. She proposed the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between institutions and encouraged joint ventures by IT companies from both countries. Additionally, she suggested exchanges of students and startups to further enhance bilateral relations. Khawaja also urged Qatar to assist Pakistani IT firms in obtaining visas and accessing Qatari markets.

In response, Al-Khater expressed Qatar’s full support for Pakistan in the IT and telecommunications sectors, paving the way for deeper collaboration between the two countries.
