Manama, Bahrain — The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and Salica Investments (formerly Hambro Perks) have announced the opening of applications for the second cohort of the Riyada Business Accelerator Program. The program is designed to support tech startups with Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) or those nearing product launch. Startups can apply until December 4, 2025.
The Riyada Business Accelerator Program aims to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and knowledge to turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses. Over the course of six months, participants will receive valuable mentorship from experienced advisors, access to potential funding opportunities, commercialization strategies, support in developing a competitive product, and assistance with business financials. The program also focuses on helping startups achieve product-market fit while building strong and capable teams.
The success of the first cohort has demonstrated the program’s transformative potential. Salman Almarzooq, founder of Travilege, shared, “The Riyada Business Accelerator Program has been a game-changer for my business. The mentorship and funding we received helped us refine our business model and product, opening doors we never thought possible. Connecting with industry leaders and other entrepreneurs has expanded our network and inspired new ideas.”
Zainab Khamis, Managing Director of the Riyada Business Accelerator Program, emphasized the program’s mission to empower startups. “Our goal is to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to succeed. The success of our first cohort is proof of the program’s impact, and we are excited to continue supporting brilliant entrepreneurs in the new cohort.”
The upcoming cohort will feature several enhancements, including more networking opportunities with industry leaders, potential partners, and investors. The program will culminate in an Investor Mixer where startups can pitch their businesses to a network of investors.
Startups interested in applying are encouraged to submit their applications by visiting the program page at www.Tamkeen.bh. The program is open to startups with a Commercial Registration (CR) or at least one Bahraini founder.
