Kuwait – GE Vernova’s Kuwait Technology Center has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with two prominent Kuwaiti universities, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to support the development of young Kuwaiti talent. These collaborations highlight GE Vernova’s commitment to enhancing Kuwait’s energy and education sectors, in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035.
The MOUs, which were signed on November 20 and 21, 2024, cover a wide range of collaborative activities, including workshops, site visits, educational sessions, internship opportunities, and guest lectures from GE Vernova experts.
The first MOU was signed with the American International University (AIU), at the GE Vernova Kuwait Technology Center, by Nael AlAwadhi, Member of the Board of Trustees of AIU, and Mariam Alrushaid, Senior Service Director of GE Vernova in Kuwait. Dr. Mohammad Alqattan, Assistant Vice President of Research and External Relations at AIU, commented, “This MOU with GE Vernova reflects AIU’s dedication to building strategic partnerships with the private sector. It aims to strengthen the skills of professionals in both the private and public sectors, contributing to sustainable growth and supporting Kuwait Vision 2035 across various fields.”
The second MOU was signed with Gulf University of Technology & Science (GUST) by Prof. Bassam Alameddine, President of GUST, and Mariam Alrushaid of GE Vernova. Prof. Alameddine remarked, “This collaboration with GE Vernova emphasizes our commitment to advancing educational and professional opportunities for our students. Through internships, research initiatives, and site visits, GUST students will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and industry practices. Additionally, GE Vernova experts will share their insights as guest speakers, enriching our academic environment.”
